God Loves Pavement

Two Brown Authors Hit the Road

Farzana and Vivek first bonded on a five-hour drive to a joint book reading.
They had such a great time, they decided to keep driving into the U.S. to do more readings—
and pick up snacks along the way.

On The Road Sexting and 7 Other Things We Learned on the God Loves Pavement Tour

1. Mistress Garmin (GPS) is a lifesaver. Without her digital, authoritative voice, Farzana needs to stop and ask directions at least seven times.

2. McDonalds has free wifi which is great for on the road sexting.

3. Vivek’s a good guy to bring home to meet the (huge) Doctor extended family, many of whom hosted us in various cities. Especially when he talks about blow jobs at dinner.

4. We think our videos are more hilarious than they really are.

5. The #1 thing that keeps Farzana up at night is whether or not anyone is using our tour hashtag (#godlovespavement).

6. Philly has the best all-ages gay bar in the whole world, which brought out Farzana’s inner cougar and Vivek’s inner Daddy.

7. The car bubble is a perfect place for lesbian processing and tears, both of which we do exceedingly well.

8. Vivek has become intimately familiar with Farzana’s menstrual cycle and Farzana has become intimately familiar with Vivek’s impressive poop schedule. After 3 days on the road, our cycles synchronized.
